What to prepare for your application to International Business
The course is open to applicants who meet the formal entry requirements for the consecutive master's degree at universities. Admission takes place without further admission tests if the following can be proven:
Bachelor's degree from a technical college or university with a final grade of at least 3.0 in business administration.
Bachelor's degree from a technical college or university in related courses such as industrial engineering, business informatics, business law or business psychology. However, basic business and economic knowledge must be demonstrated in advance. This applies to areas such as economic and financial mathematics, accounting, balance sheet analysis, investment and financing, strategic management, marketing, supply chain management and micro- and macroeconomics or even the bachelor's thesis, which was completed in one of these subject areas.
It will be checked whether sufficient ECTS points from these areas can be demonstrated. In the case of an international degree from a non-EU area, the internationally acquired credit points are translated into the European ECTS to ensure comparability of the workload. If suitability for the Master's Business Administration program remains unclear after the ECTS examination, there can be a technical discussion with the head of the program, who will then make a final assessment of the professional suitability for the program.
If no subjects such as English or Business English have been completed as part of the undergraduate degree, knowledge of English must be proven by an officially recognized language certificate (e.g. TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS) at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). . In the case of a semester abroad at an English-speaking university with successfully completed coursework, no additional proof of English is required.
