The Department of Computer Science has reformed the program structures in computer science: from winter semester 2018/19, updated study plans and examination regulations will apply to newly enrolled students. The new curricula offer significantly more flexibility and improved compulsory sections help to improve the individual study progress.
Due to the greater flexibility in the new computer science program, students can strive for a similar profile as in the previous program “Computer Science in Applications”. As a consequence, the Bachelor and Master program "Computer Science in Applications" will be closed for new enrollments from winter semester 2018/19 (last enrollments were possible in summer semester 2018).

The research-oriented Master's program 'Computer Science' requires a Bachelor degree which provides the necessary scientific fundamentals. Students can choose a specific field of computer science as their specialization.
Enrollments are possible during the summer and winter semesters.
