The prerequisite for admission to the course is
✓a successful university degree (Bachelor, Diplom, Magister, Master or state examination) in insurance, business administration, law or a comparable course of study)
✓a total of 240 ECTS points (up to 60 ECTS points can be credited based on professional qualifications; these qualifications must be related to the learning objectives of the course and must be documented in writing)
✓a minimum grade of 2.5 (except for those with a state examination)
✓proof of relevant professional experience of 12 months\*
\*The required relevant professional experience must have been acquired in an insurance company, an insurance broker, a law firm or a comparable company and must be fully completed by the start of the course. The required practical experience of a total of one year can be acquired cumulatively. The period in which it was acquired should be within the last five years before the date of application. Upon request, an extension of the timeframe may be considered.
The credit requirements must be determined individually for each individual case; professional experience cannot be credited across the board.
To demonstrate their motivation for the program, all applicants are required to submit a letter with their application documents explaining why they wish to pursue a master's degree program focused on insurance law and their current personal and professional connection to insurance law.
