Master in Management (MIM) (MSc)- Munich

The minimum requirements for an application to the Master in Management are:

• Bachelor’s degree (requiring at least 6 semesters of study) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Informatics, Mathematics, Games Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Nutritional Science, Geosciences, Biotechnology, Sport Science, Medicine, or a comparable program at a German or foreign university. • Please note that if you have a prior degree in Industrial Engineering, you are not eligible to apply for this program. However, you may be eligible to apply for the Master in Management and Technology and/or Consumer Science.
• Applicants must also upload [evidence of proficiency in English](https://www.tum.de/en/studies/application/university-admi...).
• Additional application via [uni-assist](https://www.tum.de/en/studies/application/application-inf...) if you have not obtained your Bachelor´s degree in the European Union (as well as Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland)
• All applicants, who wish to apply for a degree program at a German university with a Chinese, Vietnamese or Indian school or university degree need a certificate from the Academic Evaluation Center [(Akademische Prüfstelle, APS)](https://www.tum.de/en/studies/application/application-inf...).
• Additionally, a GMAT (classic/focus) with at least 65% percentile ranking if you obtained your bachelor's degree in the following countries: China, India, Pakistan, Egypt, and Bangladesh. For more information please click [here](https://www.gmac.com/gmat-other-assessments/about-the-gma...).
• For international applicants: There may be a [tuition fee per semester for certain countries](https://www.tum.de/studium/studienfinanzierung/studiengeb...).  Please note the Q&A section at the bottom of the page, as there's specific information for students from TUM and other German universities.If you have a Bachelor's degree from a German university, you are generally not required to pay tuition fees for a Master's degree. However, the Bachelor's degree must be completed before the start of the Master's program. In order not to have to pay tuition fees, you have to prove the successful completion of the Bachelor's degree before the enrollment deadline

We would like to inform you that applicants with a Bachelor’s degree from China, Bangladesh, India, Egypt and Pakistan have to submit a GMAT (classic/focus) with at least 65% percentile ranking. For applicants from other countries, the GMAT remains optional. However, depending on the GMAT score, additional points will be awarded at the first stage of the assessment procedure. Furthermore, ranking certificates are not considered anymore. We use the overall grade for evaluating applications.

In addition all applicants must fulfill all of the following requirements:

• To be eligible for the Master in Management, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (requiring at least 6 semesters of study) or equivalent in
• Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering & Surveying, Architecture or equivalent) or
• Natural Sciences (Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Nutritional Science, Sports Science or other). If you have a prior degree in Industrial Engineering, you are not eligible to apply for this program. However, you may be eligible to apply for the Master in Management and Technology and/or Consumer Science.

• Applicants must also be able to prove that they are proficient in the English language at the time of application. In addition to [accepted English language proficiency certificates across TUM](https://www.tum.de/en/studies/application/application-inf...) study programs, applicants can prove their English language knowledge with a previous university degree that was taught and assessed in English entirely or at least 12 ECTS thereof. A GMAT (classic/focus) with at least 53% percentile ranking will be accepted as proof of English language proficiency.

It is not necessary to prove any knowledge of German language at the time of application. However, as a foreign Student, you are required to provide proof of basic German language proficiency (comparable to A1 level). You should fulfill this by the end of the second semester.

Applications are fully online. Starting Summer Semester 2025, enrollment will be entirely online as well.
