About the programme
Mechatronic Systems at TH OWL is a bilingual, full-time Master's on the Innovation Campus Lemgo, run jointly by the faculties of Computer Science and Automation and of Production and Engineering. It lasts four semesters, with a start in the winter or the summer semester. You work as an engineer at the interface of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science, on autonomously controlled, intelligent systems. The first semester covers mathematical methods, digital control technology, machine dynamics and simulation, functional materials, scientific methods and writing, and management skills and business administration. The second semester adds designing mechatronic systems, innovation and development strategies and an elective, followed by a research project and the Master's thesis with colloquium. Admission asks for a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a related field with a grade of 2.5 or better, and German at C1.
