How to apply
What you need to apply for Communications and Information Technology at Ulm University
Good knowledge in the English language.
TOEFL score of minimum 570 in the paper-based, 230 in the computer-based, or 88 in the internet-based test
IELTS score of 6.5 or better
University of Cambridge ESOL Exam with level C1 or better (CPE) or grade C or better (CAE)
A written report in English of a maximum of two pages, in which the personal and subject-specific reasons for applying for the degree program are listed and in which the choice of the desired degree program is taken into account (letter of motivation)
please give your Curriculum Vitae outlining your previous education and professional experience.
Two letters of reference issued by members of the university, each in its own separate envelope and sealed by the person providing the letter. If previous studies were completed more than two years before the application, one letter may be from the current employer.
These are proven by:
the individual grades achieved for relevant academic achievements amounting to:
at least 3 semesters in mathematics,
a total of at least two semesters in the areas of “Signals and Systems” and
“Fundamentals of Communications Engineering”,
at least one semester in the field of “Electromagnetic Fields and Waves”,
at least two semesters in the area of “Fundamentals of Electronics” and
at least two semesters in the area of “Contents of practical computer science”
and, if applicable, professional experience

What to prepare for your application to Communications and Information Technology
When submitting your application on the campus portal, you must upload the following documents:
Bachelor's certificate and Bachelor's degree certificate as well as subject overview / transcript of records with credit points / diploma supplement if available
If you do not yet have a university degree: a transcript of records issued by the university with the total credit points earned up to the application deadline
A subject-related CV
Proof of sufficient English language skills at level C 1 CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
For a university degree from China, India or Vietnam: APS certificate or APS confirmation.
