University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven (Hochschule Bremerhaven) Bremerhaven
Food Technology (Lebensmitteltechnologie) at Hochschule Bremerhaven is a three-semester, full-time Master of Engineering focused on product innovation. Teaching is about 75% in German and 25% in English. You take part in the practice-based development of completely new foods with novel techno-functional properties, combining in-depth engineering with training in leadership skills. The first two semesters are organised in four module blocks: innovation, leadership, special technologies and process engineering, with the innovation block covering innovation management and product, process and packaging development. The programme benefits from the strong role of the food industry in the Bremen region, especially Bremerhaven as a centre for fish processing. It prepares food technologists for management roles in product and process development and project management. Applicants without German-language schooling or studies need German at C1, plus English at B1 or higher.
