What you need to apply for Biological Sciences at University of Konstanz
English language skills, minimum level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, documented by either:
TOEFL-Test (Test of English as a Foreign Language), minimum 90 points (internet based)
Cambridge First Certificate in English, minimum grade C
IELTS (International English Language Testing System), minimum result: band scale 6
Five years of continuous English lessons at a German secondary education school (also abroad) with a minimum grade of 7 points or 'satisfactory'.
Successful completion of a minimum of three courses held in English in a previous study programme.
We may test your English skills here at the University of Konstanz if they seem to be inadequate. In such cases enrolment depends on the result of the test.
English native speakers do not have to document their language skills.

What to prepare for your application to Biological Sciences

Proof of academic degree with detailed documentation of the academic achievements in the Bachelor's degree programme in Biological Sciences at the University of Konstanz or in a comparable degree programme. Applicants who are unable to submit a degree certificate by the end of the application deadline must demonstrate that they are likely to have met the admission requirements by providing proof of previous examinations and a certificate from the university confirming the provisional overall grade.
Proof of the average overall grade of the relevant Bachelor's degree program at the university attended. If the grade for the current year in which the Bachelor's degree was obtained has not yet been collected, the grade of the previous year or the average grade of the current year at the time of application can be used

Proof of practical professional experience (if available)
Proof of academic achievements (scientific papers, publications, research activities, research and study visits, if available)
Proof of prizes and awards (if available)
Proof of relevant voluntary or extracurricular commitment (if available)
Current certificate of enrollment stating the semester of study and university or certificate of exmatriculation stating the semesters of the department and university

Application documents that are not available in German or English must be translated. Then attach both the German or English version as well as the version in the original language to your application.
Applicants who have not obtained their university degree in a country that is a signatory to the Lisbon Convention must complete a GRE test with an average of at least 150 points (Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning Score)
Applicants from China, India and Vietnam: APS certificate from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in their respective home country.
