What you need to apply for MSc Mathematics at University of Munster
proof of English language skills at B2-level: Proof is possible by TOEFL test results (ibT, 72 points or higher), IELTS test results (overall band score of 6.0 or higher), Abitur (10 points or higher) or by an English language Bachelor's degree.
You can apply with a provisional Bacherlor’s certificate or a transcript of grades as long as you have your Bachelor’s diploma at hand by the time of enrolement.

To apply for our Master’s programme you need:
…to have successfully completed a mathematical Bachelor’s degree programme (or comparable) at a German or foreign university with a proportion of studies of 120 ECTS points in mathematics,
…with an average grade of 3,0 or better,
…and B2 English language skills,
...a university entrance qualification valid in Germany (If you haven't finished your school education in Germany, but have finished the highest school type in your country and graduated from a 3- or 4-year's Bachelor's programme in mathematics, you most likely fulfill this requirement. If you have questions concerning this point, please contact our International Office / International Applicants' Advisory Service).

What to prepare for your application to MSc Mathematics
Proof of general or a relevant subject-related higher education entrance qualification
Proof of the existence of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics (relevant degree with a standard period of study of at least six semesters, e.g. Bachelor's, Diplom, Staatsexamen with an average grade of 3.0 according to the German grading system). If you have not yet finished your Bachelor’s at the time of application, you can apply with a provisional certificate / transcript of records with an average grade of 3.3 or better. However, you need your Bachelor’s certificate by the time of enrolment! Your degree must comprise 120 ECTS points in mathematics.

We also accept a German Abiturzeugnis as a proof of sufficient English language skills. (In the application portal you can choose either "Englisch im Abitur (mind. 10 Punkte) or "Keine der genannten" for this. Please upload your Abiturzeugnis once again.)
