1. a suitable B.Sc. degree in Automotive Engineering, General Mechanical Engineering or a closely related course of study from a German university, university of applied sciences/university of applied sciences or cooperative education institution, or an equivalent degree from a foreign university is available or will be obtained in the foreseeable future - and
2. a minimum level of relevant skills/knowledge has been or is still being acquired.
Even if these two conditions are met, additional modules may be awarded if the required subject-specific skills are not sufficiently present. This is intended to prevent applicants from entering the Master's program in Automotive Engineering without sufficient prior knowledge, which could result in failure.
The catalog of possible additional modules includes the modules "Advanced Mathematics 3," "Engineering Mechanics 4," "Thermodynamics 2," "Engineering Fluid Mechanics," and "Control Engineering," each worth 6 ECTS credits. If you lack knowledge in the fields of thermodynamics and design theory, additional modules are also possible. The total number of additional modules may not exceed 30 ECTS credits. All additional modules must be successfully completed by the time you register your master's thesis with the Examination Office. Additional modules are not part of the master's degree program.
