What you'll do
- Creation of an overview of the current state of the art in MAC methods for optical free-space links
- Simulation of various combinations of MAC methods for optical free-space links
- Analysis of simulation results and highlighting of effects on the optical waveform
- Selection of the most critical changes to the optical waveform and demonstration of their effects in real time on an FPGA
What you need
- Good programming skills in Python
- Basic programming skills in VHDL
- Experience with Vivado, Git, Tcl, GitLab, CI/CD, Docker and Linux
- Practical experience with FPGAs
- Basic knowledge of satellite communications
- Good English skills
