What you'll do

  • Focus on the software implementation of a packet decoder (Peeling Decoder).
  • Main goal is to make the decoder run on a modern platform consisting of an ARM-based CPU and an NVIDIA GPU (CUDA, e.g. NVIDIA DGX) and to optimise it.
  • Focus on pure programming implementation to achieve high data throughput, not on mathematical coding theory.
  • Writing high-performance C code.
  • Experimenting with parallel processing using CUDA kernels.
  • Efficient management of the cache memory.
  • The position requires a high degree of independence in practical software development.

What you need

  • Advanced and solid programming skills in C/C++.
  • Strong interest in parallel programming (CUDA) and/or hardware-related software optimisation.
  • First experience with memory hierarchies, cache management or similar is an advantage.
  • A high degree of independence, initiative and reliability.
  • Good English skills.
