Access to the Master’s program in European Ethnology/European Ethnology requires a university degree or an equivalent domestic or foreign degree in a course of study in the humanities, social sciences or cultural studies (e.g. European ethnology, folklore, cultural anthropology, empirical and/or comparative cultural studies, cultural history, museum studies, cultural management or popular cultures or other social science, historical or philological sciences) with a standard period of study of at least six semesters comprising at least 180 ECTS points with an overall examination grade of 2.5 or better.2Furthermore, admission requires competences amounting to at least 10 ECTS points in the subject of European Ethnology.
(2)1Applicants who have not yet completed their BA course with Candidates who have at least 10 ECTS credits in the subject of European Ethnology will be admitted on the condition that they complete the “Basic Module I: Scientific Work” and the “Basic Module II: History of the Subject & Basic Texts” of the Bachelor’s minor in European Ethnology in accordance with the study and subject examination regulations for minor subjects in Bachelor’s degree programs at the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg.2Proof of passing the module specified by the requirements must be provided by the end of the second semester at the latest.3If the proof is not provided within the deadline, the student will be exmatriculated officially.4Exmatriculation takes effect at the end of the second semester.
(3)1Applicants will be offered the opportunity to begin their studies before the Acquisition of the entry requirements is possible.2Evidence of the admission requirements pursuant to paragraph 1 must be provided by the end of the first semester at the latest. 3If the proof is not provided within the deadline, the student will be exmatriculated officially.4Exmatriculation takes effect at the end of the first semester
