A copy of the identity page of your passport. Please black out any sensitive information, such as the passport number etc., but make sure your name, nationality and date of birth are clearly legible.
A chronological curriculum vitae
The following documents should be submitted with certified translations (into German or English). Please do not submit the originals and read uni-assist's requirements regarding certified translations.
A certified copy of your university entrance qualification, together with a certified English or German translation, if needed (see above). You will have to submit this even if you are applying for a Master's programme.
A certified copy of the transcripts of your studies and any certificates acquired showing your marks/grades/results, if you have perviously been enrolled on any degree programme (even if you did not complete it);
A certified copy of a German language certificate at the required level for your programme (more details).
If you are applying for a Master's programme, you may meed to provide evidence of meeting additional criteria (e. g. foreign language skills). Please visit the web page about your chosen Master's programme to check the requirements there.

To apply, you need to have a good first degree in business administration, economics or a related discipline with a final grade of 2.7 or better according to the [German grading scale](https://www.uni-passau.de/en/apply/apply-with-intl-qualif...) (or the relevant foreign equivalent), or be ranked among the best 50% of your cohort( 2As an alternative to the overall grade of 2.7, the applicant can provide proof of qualification if he or she was among the top 50 percent of his or her cohort (graduates at the respective examination date). If you do not yet have your university degree certificate, please submit a current transcript of records.
The business or economics content of your degree must amount to at least 60 [ECTS](https://www.uni-passau.de/en/msc-busadmin#ECTS) credits, including at least 10 [ECTS](https://www.uni-passau.de/en/msc-busadmin#ECTS) credits in economic/business research methods (e.g. data collection, data analysis, mathematics or statistics).
Applicants who have not obtained their university degree in a [signatory state to the Lisbon Convention](https://www.coe.int/de/web/conventions/full-list?module=s...) must additionally prove their suitability for the M.Sc. Business Administration degree programme by passing the [Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)](https://www.mba.com/exams/gmat-exam) with a score of at least 550 points.
This degree programme can be completed entirely in English. However, to be able to get by in Germany, students are nonetheless required to have German language skills at level A1 CEFR (beginner's level). If you do not meet this requirement at the time of your application, you will be offered a free beginner's German course during your first year of study. By the end of that year, you have to be able to present a German language certificate at level A1 CEFR.
You should submit a [recognised English language certificate](https://www.sprachenzentrum.uni-passau.de/en/language-cou...) at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), unless English is your native language or the language of instruction for your prior university or secondary education. If this is the case, please upload a confirmation from your prior university or school that English was the teaching language together with your application.
