What you need to apply for Media Architecture at Bauhaus University Weimar (HS Bauhaus)
language certificate as proof of very good language skills. The course is bilingual; Very good knowledge of German (at least level B2 GER, e.g. through DSH-1 or TestDaF 4xTDN 3) and good knowledge of English or very good knowledge of English and good German (English at least level B2 GER, German at least level B1 GER) must be proven.
The IMAMS study program is taught in English. Good English language skills must be demonstrated (e.g. TOEFL (PBT 550, CBT 213, IBT 79-80), IELTS).

Students must either hold a relevant degree or equivalent certificate in architecture, media or related fields with a scientific or artistic/design-oriented degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or "Diplom") and have equivalent professional experience. Additionally, students must pass the aptitude test.
The entrance examination has the following sequence:
\- Determination of aptitude based on documentation of previous work
\- Aptitude interview (as determined by the commission; not mandatory)
\- Decision and announcement of the result.
In addition, an interview can be held in front of a commission regarding motivation and any previous professional knowledge. In this case, you will receive an invitation by email. Interviews may take place in the last two weeks of July.
What to prepare for your application to Media Architecture
1. a CV in tabular form with study, internship and international experience
2. a copy of the school leaving certificate (university entrance qualification) or a certificate recognized as equivalent by the responsible authorities (a certified copy is not required at this point and will only be provided at a later date required)
3. a copy of the final certificate (bachelor's, diploma or master's degree) or an equivalent qualification as well as the diploma supplement and transcript of records. Original documents in German or English or as a certified translation.
4. a letter of motivation that comprehensively explains your desired course of study and career on about one A4 page.
5. Documentation of previous work that demonstrates the ability to work in an interdisciplinary manner as well as special skills in theory and/or practice, a maximum of 25 A3 sheets (or videos, CDs, etc.).
6. a written declaration of authorship of the submitted work (declaration of independence),

Applicants whose native language is not English or German must provide proof of these language skills. Exceptions are possible if a degree from an English and/or German-speaking country can be proven.

The application deadline for participation in the next aptitude assessment process ends on July 15th this year, which means that the documents must be uploaded online to the application portal by July 15th, 0:00 a.m.
