The admission requirement is a relevant and qualified bachelor's or diploma degree program with at least 180 credit points and the requirements set out in paragraph 3.
(2) Degrees in Industrial Engineering, Energy Management, Applied Social Sciences, Information Law, and Business Psychology, as well as engineering and natural science programs from the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, or comparable degrees, are considered relevant.
(3) The degree is considered qualified if an overall grade of 2.5 or better is achieved.
(4) All applicants must undergo an aptitude assessment. Applicants who meet the requirements set out in paragraphs 1 to 4 will be admitted to the aptitude assessment. Applicants who do not meet these requirements may be admitted to the aptitude assessment upon written application to the Admissions Committee based on an individual assessment. In this case, the applicant must explain within the deadline why they nevertheless have sufficient qualifications to begin the master's program. For the individual assessment, the following may be considered beneficial:
Special practical experience in the field of risk assessment and sustainability management, completion of the previous degree within the standard period of study, a final thesis with a grade of at least 1.3,
a semester abroad with appropriate academic success.
(5) In addition, basic business knowledge amounting to at least 15 credit points in the areas of business organization theory (5 credit points), strategic management (5 credit points), and planning and controlling (5 credit points) must be demonstrated. Applicants who cannot demonstrate basic business knowledge in accordance with sentence 1 may be admitted with additional requirements, which must be met before or during the first semester of the master's program. Proof of fulfillment of these requirements must be provided no later than upon registration for the examinations for which the relevant knowledge is a prerequisite according to the module handbook. Additional modules completed due to additional requirements will be certified in the master's certificate.
(6) The Admissions Committee shall decide on admission based on an aptitude assessment pursuant to paragraph 5 and on conditions pursuant to paragraph 6.
(7) Further details are governed by the Special Provisions for Admission to the Master's Program (BBZM).
