Please note: Requirement for admission is also a grade of 2.5 or better (German grading scale) in the Bachelor's degree.
The entry requirements in German also apply to the Incomings (Erasmus+, Global, Freemover). However, we also offer and recommend appr. 30 ECTS lectures in English language that you can attend.
Entry requirements Master Automotive Systems Engineering, Master Electrical Systems Engineering, Master Intelligent Mechatronic Systems, Master Mechanical Engineering, Master Mechatronics and Robotics, (in case of a non-German Bachelor\`s degree) • Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with an engineering component of at least 50%. • Applicants should have an excellent or good first degree of 2.5 or better. • Your certificate of recognition is mandatory. Applicants from China, Vietnam or India have to submit the certificate of APS ("Akademische Prüfstelle") as well. • We require a bachelor\`s degree with 210 ECTS. Graduates with 180 ECTS can be admitted. They will be requested to obtain an extra 30 ECTS credits in an appropriate Bachelor programme at Heilbronn University or by conducting a six months internship in a company. • German language skills: DSH 1 or GER B2 • English Language skills: none
Application process for applicants with a non-German Bachelor’s Degree Please read these instructions carefully and follow them closely to ensure a complete, valid, and timely application submission. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All application documents must be received by the start of the applicable lecture period. STEP 1: Apply to the Certificate Recognition Office of the Faculty of Engineering at Heilbronn University Deadline: approx. January 15th for the summer term / July 15th for the winter term The processing time is 4 – 5 weeks Before applying, non-German Bachelor degrees need to be declared equivalent to a German first degree. Please submit the following documents: Application form (completed in full and, if possible, electronically) Curriculum vitae Bachelor's certificate and transcript of records in German or English The Bavarian formula is used to convert grades and recognise international achievements. Therefore, please enter the best and minimum passing grade at your university for the conversion. APS certificate, if applicable (necessary for Bachelor certificates from China, India and Vietnam) Proof of your German language skills, if applicable in digital form to: [email protected] Please note: If the HHN examination office is unable to recognize your certificate, we will contact you as soon as possible. document. This signed document must be sent with your other application documents
by mail or E-Mail.
2. Prepare the remaining documents that will complete your application.
Unless specifically noted, the documents below are required for your application. For
the application process, simple copies of the required documents are sufficient. In
case of admission, students have to present either the original documents or certified
true copies of the required documents when getting enrolled. Sworn translations are
necessary if the original documents are not issued in German or English.
