Engineering and Management

The application is paperless and can be submitted via our Pforzheim University application portal .

Please register there first with your personal data in order to receive your access data for the application portal.

During the application process, you will be asked to upload the application documents in PDF format. Please note that the application can only proceed once the respective document has been uploaded. We therefore recommend that you do not submit the application until all documents have been submitted.

The following documents are required for the online application:

Proof of university entrance qualification

Proof of first degree (Bachelor's/diploma certificate and Bachelor's/diploma certificate. Can be submitted later if not available. Instead, a transcript of records must be submitted stating the credits achieved so far and the current average grade.)

Tabular CV

maximum two-page motivation letter

Letter of recommendation from an academic institution or from a company/institution outside of academia. A letter of recommendation recommends you as a candidate for a master's program and is not the same as a job reference.

Proof of English language skills: Language level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, e.g. through university entrance qualification, study certificates, language certificates or similar. A TOEFL or similar tests are not mandatory, but can be used as proof.

if applicable, proof of appropriate knowledge of German. For applicants whose native language is not German, knowledge of German must be at least at C1 level.

The report/letter of recommendation and the certificate of language skills can be submitted later. However, this will reduce your chances of getting a place at university, as this will be given zero points in the assessment of the written documents.
