What you need to apply for Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)
English language, proven at least to level B2, e.g. through the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) with at least 90 points in the internet-based test or equivalent. Proof of English language skills is not required for applicants
with a university degree from a university with English as the only language of instruction and examinations
or an Abitur certificate, whereby the foreign language must have been studied for at least 5 years up to the degree that entitles you to university entrance and the final grade or average grade of the last two years of language instruction must correspond to at least the German grade 4 (sufficient) or at least 5 points have to.
If proof of language proficiency cannot be submitted by the application deadline, admission can be granted subject to the condition that one of the accepted proofs of sufficient English language skills is submitted at the latest upon enrolment

Yes, you can apply with a provisional transcript (an official record of the courses you have taken and the grades received for each course), but the Bachelor’s diploma must be presented at enrollment.

Admission requirements
The requirements for admission to the master's degree program in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology are based on the current [admission regulations](https://www.sle.kit.edu/english/vorstudium/master-electri...):
1. minimum knowledge and minimum achievements in the following areas:In previous studies, subject-specific minimum achievements must have been acquired that roughly correspond to those of the bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at KIT.
2. The selection commission decides on subject-specific suitability by awarding points for the following achievements (not identical to ECTS credit points):
If you have met the subject-specific minimum achievements (1.) and have gained at least 50 points (2.) from the content of your bachelor's degree program, you will take part in the selection process.
If you have met the subject-specific minimum achievements (1.) but your overall score is below 50 points (2.), you will be invited to an interview. The interview period will be published on the website of the KIT-Department before the application deadline so that you can plan ahead. The interview lasts approximately 20 minutes and takes place online in English. Up to 20 points can be earned in the interview. If you achieve at least 10, you will take part in the selection process.
