What you need to apply for Systems Engineering in Manufacturing at Otto von Guericke University (OVGU) Magdeburg
Applicants have to provide evidence of a successfully completed English language course at C1 level following the joined European reference system for languages. This evidence can be reached by providing one of the following certificates:
The applicant has a bachelor's degree, a Diploma degree from an university or a equally weighted higher education organisation within the legal area of the Higher Education Acts of the federal counties of the Federal Republic of Germany, a comparable degree at a state or state-approved university of cooperative education, a master degree or one with a state examination completed degree in engineering or on a closely related field with an extend of at least 180 Credit Points (CP following ECTS) or six semesters.
The graduated degree has included (following ECTS)
and shall have an average mark of 2.500 or better.

10 weeks of production-oriented internship in industry or business
The admission requirement is proof of a good or very good Bachelor's degree or a university diploma or completion of a Master's degree or a subject-related degree program concluded with a state examination in engineering, the natural sciences or a closely related field. The standard period of study for the previous Bachelor's degree program must be at least 6 semesters or have comprised 180 credit points (CP according to ECTS).
The completed degree must contain the following (according to ECTS):
\- at least 25 CP in the competency area of natural sciences and computer science (of which at least 10 CP mathematics, 5 CP physics and 5 CP computer science),
\- 10 CP in the competency area of design,
\- 10 CP in the competency area of technical mechanics,
\- at least 20 CP in the competency area of engineering technology (of which at least 5 CP in the area of manufacturing, at least 5 CP in the area of materials technology) and
\- at least 10 CP in the competency area of economics
and should have at least an average grade of 2,500 or better .
Furthermore, sufficient knowledge of the English language must be demonstrated at C1 level. Applicants must provide one of the following proofs:
\- TOEFL test (minimum score: internet based – 108)
\- IELTS (minimum score: 7.0)
\- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) with at least “C1”
\- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) with at least “Grade C”,
\- UNIcert III
