Prerequisites for eligibility is a completed Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./B.Eng./B.Tech.) either in Mechatronics, Mechanics, Electronics, Computer Science or Applied Physics, etc. with a final grade of at least 2.5 (German grading system) and 210 ECTS credits. Graduates from 3 year Bachelor programmes (180 ECTS credits) can be considered provided they meet additional requirements.
60% of the places available will be allocated on the basis of the GRE Revised General Test results. This means that only applicants that have taken the GRE test will be considered for this quota.
40% of the places available will be allocated on the basis of the final grade of the Bachelor's degree as well as the results in mathematics and other relevant subjects.
Applicants who at the time of application have not obtained the Bachelor's degree yet will be ranked according to their current GPA.

A completed Bachelor’s Degree in the field of mechanical or electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, applied physics, or any other related field of study with a final grade of at least 2,5 (German grading system) and 210 ECTS (corresponding to a 4-year full-time study program). Graduates with only 180 ECTS have to meet additional requirements.
Applicants who have not obtained their Bachelor‘s Degree yet will be ranked according to their 7th semester CGPA. - 6th semester transcripts only are not accepted!

The overall grade can be improved by up to 0,6 (German grading system) in total. However, for each category by a max. of 0,3:
Proven relevant work experience of at least 1 year
Published research paper in the field of mechatronics
Provided GRE exam with a score of at least 161 in Quantitative Reasoning
