What you need to apply for Industrial Engineering and Management at Technical University Berlin (TU Berlin)

In the first step, the access criteria are checked. These are:
a first professional university degree (e.g. bachelor’s or diploma) in a course of study in the field of industrial engineering or a related course of study in engineering or natural sciences as well as
Proof (completed exams by the application deadline) of specialist knowledge to the extent of at least
35 LP in economics (business administration, economics and law),
35 LP in engineering basics and
35 LP in mathematics and quantitative methods (including at least 10 LP in engineering mathematics, 5 LP in statistics, 5 LP in operations research and 5 LP in programming). It should be noted that it must be about methodical skills, e.g. learning a programming language instead of using it in a programming project.
In the second step, those applicants who have successfully completed the first step will receive a notification of admission - i.e. they will be offered a place on the course.

As for every other master’s degree program at TU Berlin, applicants must possess a first university degree qualifying them for professional work (e.g. bachelor’s degree or Diplom). This degree must be in Industrial Engineering and Management or a similar degree program in engineering or natural science.
Additionally, you must be able to submit proof of the following:
At least 35 credit points in economics
At least 35 credit points in the basic principles of engineering
At least 35 credit points in mathematics and quantitative methods (including at least ten credit points in engineering mathematics, five credit points in statistics, five credit points in operations research, and five credit points in programming).
The Industrial Engineering and Management master’s program is taught in German and English. If you are applying with a foreign school-leaving certificate, you must provide proof of German skills at a specific level. Furthermore, applicants must prove they possess English skills at the B2 Level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The Industrial Engineering and Management master’s program is taught in German and English. the complete official certificate as well as a complete official subject/grade overview with information on the credit points (transcript) - incl. translation (if not issued in German or English)

If available, please upload the study and examination regulations as well as the module descriptions of your 1st university degree (German or English) if you do not acquire or have not obtained your 1st university degree qualifying for a profession at TU Berlin. This enables a correct examination of the content-related admission requirements. Please mark the areas that are relevant for the fulfilment of the admission requirements. In this way, you support the examination board in its work and help it to come to a faster and clearer result regarding your suitability in terms of content.

Course-specific certificates
For some Master's degree programmes, further course-specific proof, e.g. proof of English language skills, may be required. You can find out whether this also applies to your desired course of study on our website and in the respective admission requirements of your desired degree programme. If you have formal or content-related questions about these certificates, please contact the responsible academic advisor of the degree program.
If you are required to provide work samples, such as in the Master's program in Architecture, please send them to us digitally with your other application documents.
If necessary, these proofs are requested as originals or simple copies in accordance with the ZZO. These proofs also only have to be submitted as PDFs.
Proof of German language skills
Proof is required for all German-language degree programmes.
ATTENTION: Citizens of Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland with a foreign Master's entrance qualification also need proof of language proficiency at the required level. The identity card or passport is NOT sufficient as proof of language proficiency!

Declaration of previous periods of study
Declare all periods of study in full in the declaration of previous periods of study.
NOTE: The entire study periods worldwide to date must be listed chronologically, completely and without gaps! Semesters as part of an exchange study in Germany and at a preparatory college in Germany must also be entered here.
Current certificate of enrollment or exmatriculation from the last German university attended
Please submit a current certificate of enrollment if you are enrolled at a German university at the time of application or the most recent certificate of exmatriculation if you are not currently enrolled. This must include all university semesters that you were enrolled in Germany.
Proof of any length of service
If available, please submit proof of any periods of service in accordance with § 7 (1) of the Berlin Higher Education Admission Act (BerlHZG).
In the event of equal rank in the selection procedure within the waiting time quota, priority shall be given to applicants who meet the requirements specified in Section 7. If there is still an equal rank after that, the decision is made by lot.

Please note that you mark your identity document as a copy. You can redact data that is not needed. At least your full name, date of birth and place of birth are relevant.

Re-enrolment
If you were already enrolled at TU Berlin in the same degree program with the same study and examination regulations, then you are a re-enroller. As a re-enrollee, you also need a decided subject-semester placement for the 1st semester by the responsible examination board on the application for review of previous achievements - Part A in order to apply for the 1st semester.

Exception: If you were already enrolled in the same degree program but did not complete any achievements, proof of this is sufficient.
