Development, Production and Management in Mechanical Engineering at TUM in Garching is a full-time, four-semester Master of Science with 120 ECTS, with a start in the winter or the summer semester. Teaching is usually in German, with some courses possibly in English. It trains engineers to become experts for the manufacturing industry, covering the whole product development process from development through production and logistics, plus core management skills. You learn to plan, organise, run and evaluate complex development projects in interdisciplinary teams and to create product designs suited to manufacturing and assembly, which shortens product creation. In production and logistics you evaluate in-house and external logistics concepts, develop supply chain solutions and rate and size material flow systems. It suits engineers who want to take a senior position in a company or start their own business. Admission is through an aptitude assessment.
