a) A first professional degree in communication informatics with an overall grade of 2.9 or better or a comparable degree.
b) A degree in a recognized computer science-related bachelor's or diploma program in which
computer science fundamentals and programming and communication protocols

The admission of an applicant with a related but
not directly comparable degree can be subject to conditions that result from the required technical prerequisites.
Conditions, e.g. the successful completion of compulsory modules of the Bachelor's degree program in Communication Informatics, must be fulfilled by the end of the course.
d) For all applicants who do not yet have a Bachelor's degree, it is assumed that the Bachelor's thesis has been registered, the processing period ends in the current semester and that a maximum of 45 ECTS are missing until the completion of the Bachelor's degree.
Subject-related English language skills at level B2 / Vantage of the
Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
must be demonstrated, which correspond in scope,
content and level to the foreign language training of the Bachelor's degree program in
Communication Informatics at htw saar.
Evidence of this is at least 6 ECTS points in English at a
comparable level during the first professional degree or an external international English certificate, as
announced on the faculty notice board.
Applicants who do not meet these requirements have the opportunity to make up for them by the time they complete their studies. f) In the case of foreign students (who obtained university entrance qualifications outside of Germany), they must also provide proof of German language skills in accordance with the current version of the Presidium’s guidelines on the requirements for German language skills. (2) If there is available capacity, the admissions committee can also award study places to applicants with an overall grade lower than 2.9 if this grade average is achieved by applying the following criteria, which must be proven in writing.
