Earn an international double degree through partnerships with Università di Bologna (Italy) and Université Paris Cité (France). Access valuable resources and guidance from the Faculty of History and Bielefeld University's International Office.

Access to the Master programme is granted to those who can provide evidence that they have a first university degree which has a standard period of study of at least six semesters, qualifies for exercising a profession and is in accordance with the subject-specific regulations.Ability to independently work on a historical problem and to appropriate written presentation of the results;

Bachelor's (Undergraduate) Degree

A first professional university degree with a standard period of study of at least six semesters.

• Degrees from accredited bachelor's programs at vocational academies are considered equivalent to bachelor's degrees from universities.
• Applicants with degrees from abroad are eligible if the degree is considered sufficient and the required language skills can be proven.

Proof of Background Knowledge

Basic knowledge of:

• Ancient History.
• Middle Ages and Early Modern History.
• 19th and 20th Century History.

Proof of another European foreign language (French, Spanish, Russian or Italian) at level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or proof of the Kleines Latinum.
