Copy of the passport
Proof of the passed language test (German) in an officially certified copy.You do not need any German language proficiency if you intend to study an English taught Master programme or a so-called "International track" at Bielefeld University.

Officially certified copy of school report (original language and a German or English translation)
Degree certificate from the university in an officially certified copy (original language and a German or English translation) + list of individual grades
Possibly proof of the completed university entrance examination (e.g. from Turkey, Lebanon, Iran, etc.) in an officially certified copy
Possibly an officially certified copy of the assessment test to determine the eligibility of foreign applicants for studies at institutions of higher education in Germany (Feststellungsprüfung)
APS certificate (only for applicants with certificates from China, Vietnam or India)
Please note collective APS for other universities are not accepted!
The application documents must be submitted in due time to the student secretariat of Bielefeld University and contain:
The diploma of a previous degree and the associated documents (transcript, transcript of records, diploma supplement, etc.) that provide information about the individual course of study, the completed modules, the achievements made during the course and their evaluations, and the individual professional profile of the completed course. If the university or professional academy at which the applicant obtained the previous degree does not issue such documents for the applicant, correspondingly meaningful documents must be submitted (e.g. performance records).
If there is no diploma from a previous degree, a provisional final document with a provisional final grade and a current transcript of records or correspondingly meaningful documents are submitted.
To be submitted as an option: An elaboration of a maximum of two pages in which the qualifications of the previous degree for this master’s degree and, if applicable, further knowledge and qualifications are presented.

Access to the Master programme is granted to those who can provide evidence that they have a first university degree which has a standard period of study of at least six semesters, qualifies for exercising a profession and is in accordance with the subject-specific regulations.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters.
Applicants must have profound knowledge in terms of content combined with the ability to provide mathematical proofs in analysis and linear algebra as well as in at least four sub-areas of mathematics or their applications based on them. The sub-areas that build on must include at least three of the following sub-areas: algebra, geometry/topology, measurement and integration theory, numeric, stochastics.
The following certificates are recognized as proof of your language proficiency.
TOEFL iBT min 87, Telc English B2-C1 University min B2
Evidence is deemed to have been provided if the qualified degree was acquired at an English-speaking institution. If the course is completed in English, it may only be possible to offer a reduced selection.
