Bielefeld University Bielefeld
Philosophy at Bielefeld University is a four-semester Master of Arts worth 120 credit points, with starts in the winter or the summer semester. Its focus is on writing your own philosophical contributions and discussing them with others. You work in small groups on complex philosophical topics, deepen your knowledge across different areas of philosophy and set your own focus. Graduate and workshop seminars give room for intense discussion based on close reading, and a presentation workshop trains you to give your first talks. In a satellite seminar you develop your own topic ideas in small groups, and in a project module you pursue your own projects. Department colloquia let you discuss work with more experienced researchers. It suits graduates who want to do academic philosophy or use analytical and writing skills in fields such as publishing, public relations or foundations.
