Robotics, Cognition, Intelligence at TUM in Garching is a full-time, four-semester Master's with 120 ECTS that combines engineering disciplines such as mechanical and electrical engineering with informatics. German and English are required for admission. It is run jointly by the Departments of Informatics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. Robots have left the factories and now work closely with people, from robot vacuum cleaners to exoskeletons that help paralysed people walk, so they must react autonomously to unforeseen situations and learn through artificial intelligence. You build a broad methodological and theoretical grasp of robotics, cognition and intelligent autonomous systems, including classic robot control, perception, image processing and AI, as well as signal processing, sensor data analysis and fusion, and programming. You can start in the winter or the summer semester. The programme gives you the basis to take part in these developments.
