What you need to apply for Experimental Geosciences at University of Bayreuth
Evidence of strong command of English, documented by a high school degree, a BSc, a thesis completed in English, or an English language certificate equivalent to the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
A degree with an examination grade of “good” (2.5) or better in a bachelor’s programme in the natural sciences at the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree awarded in Germany or abroad

2. Courses in Chemistry/Geochemistry
A statement explaining your interest in studying ‘Experimental Geosciences’, not to exceed 2 pages (12pt font, in English).

Qualification
A degree with an examination grade of “good” (2.5) or better in a bachelor's program in the natural sciences at the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree awarded in Germany or abroad
Equivalency
The equivalency of the completed bachelor's degree is determined conclusively by the board of examiners after the application deadline; if in doubt, clarify details of the application with the program coordinator prior to submitting it; content-related requirements are specified in §2.2 of the [Examination Regulations](https://www.amtliche-bekanntmachungen.uni-bayreuth.de/de/...)
Aptitude Assessment Process
One prerequisite for admission to the program is passing an aptitude assessment process (see [Examination Regulations](https://www.amtliche-bekanntmachungen.uni-bayreuth.de/de/...) , Annex 2); it includes an evaluation of the applicant's qualifications and, if necessary, a personal interview

Applying without a degree certificate
Applications may already be submitted before completion of the bachelor's degree; however, a total of at least 150 credits and a minimum grade of "good" (2.5) are required by the time of application

Good English skills are required to successfully complete the program. Proof of a B2 level or equivalent qualification is required for admission. Detailed information can be found on the English-language program website.

Please only upload documents relevant to your VPD application. Language certificates or letters of motivation, for example, are not required for the VPD.
