The prerequisite for admission to the master's degree program is proof of a first degree qualifying for a profession with a scope of at least 210 ECTS credits in the bachelor's degree program in civil engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen or an equivalent degree from another German or foreign university in accordance with § 63a para. 1 HG.
The determination of equivalence is made by the examination board. A corresponding certificate of equivalence is issued by the examination board.
The overall grade of the degree must be 3.0 or better.
If the qualification is not given, especially if a first professional degree with less than 210 credits is available, the examination board can combine the admission with the condition to prove certain competences until the registration of the master thesis. The scope of the conditions is up to 30 ECTS credits.

For language course enrolment: private health insurance
For degree course enrolment: statutory health insurance
if applicable, proof of withdrawal from the register of your previous university in Germany
