University of Erfurt Erfurt
Democracy and Economy is a research-oriented Master of Arts at the University of Erfurt that combines political science and economics. You learn to analyse democratic and economic systems and how they interact, looking at actors, organisations and institutions in their historical, cultural and current context. Every topic module has a political science part and an economics part. If your Bachelor's was only in one of the two subjects, entry areas in the first semester help you catch up on the other. Training in quantitative and qualitative methods is compulsory. The programme lasts four semesters (120 credit points), and can be studied full or part time. Graduates can work in economic and political consulting, NGOs, public administration, government staffs, companies and research.
