Specific admission requirements for this program :

• The admission requirement for this Master's program (MA) in History at the University of Hamburg is a first professional degree with a major in history.
• The study of history as a teaching subject or as a minor subject can also be considered comparable, provided that at least 45 subject-specific credit points have been acquired in history.
• As a language requirement, you need at least three years of schooling in two foreign languages ​​(for the first foreign language) or two years of schooling in the second foreign language, or equivalent evidence (level B1 or A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Knowledge of Latin may lead to preferential admission in cases where candidates are tied.
