Application documents to be submitted

Please submit all documents as uncertified copies. Documents not issued in German or

English must also be translated into German or English by a sworn translator.

• Printed online application form
• Degree certificate or provisional transcript of records. If you are still studying at the

time of application and do not have a degree certificate with a grade, you must

submit a current transcript of records with a provisional average grade. The degree

certificate must be submitted by the end of the first semester of your master's

program.

• CV
• Motivational letter (about one page)

Application documents can also be deposited in the mailbox of the secretariat (Edmund-Siemers

Allee 1, West Wing, Room 125). This mailbox is open to the public during building hours (Mon-Fri:

6:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m., Sat: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Sundays and public holidays: closed).

Completed application documents must be received by the application address by the

application deadline; otherwise, your application cannot be considered. This is a cut-off date;

an extension is not possible. If submitted by mail, the date of receipt is the reference date,

not the postmark.

Application Documents

The complete application documents must be received at the application address within the application deadline; otherwise, your application cannot be considered. This is a strict deadline, and an extension is not possible. For applications sent by mail, the date of receipt applies, not the postmark!

If you are also submitting a special application (e.g., a hardship application), this must be submitted separately from the application documents mentioned above, including all required supporting documents, directly through the online application system within the application deadline. You will upload the documents for the special application within the online application; sending them by mail is not necessary!
