What you need to apply for Data Science at University of Mannheim
1. Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet Based Test (TOEFL iBT) with a score of at least 79
2. Test of English as a Foreign Language Paper Based Test (TOEFL pBT) with a score of at least 550 points,

Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Mathematics, or a related field to be admitted to the master’s program Mannheim Master in Data Science. A degree is deemed sufficient if it is recognized as equivalent by the admissions committee. The following requirements must be met:
a total of 180 ECTS credits or a standard period of study of six semesters,
a total of at least 48 ECTS credits in informatics, mathematics, statistics, or empirical research methods.

3.If you have not yet completed your bachelor’s program by the application deadline, you may still be admitted to the master’s program as long as you provide proof that you have obtained at least 130 ECTS credits. In this case, your admission to the program is subject to receipt of your degree certificate up to a specific date
The essay should be part of your studies (e.g., bachelor's thesis) with a professional focus on Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics, comprising a minimum of 5000 words. The essay is to be written in English or German and must adhere to the universally accepted rules of academic writing. It doesn’t has to be written as a statement of purpose and you don’t have to write why you are applying.
Regarding the criteria, the generally applicable rules for academic work apply (relevance, timeliness, methodological and content precision, independence, etc.).

Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) with a minimum score of 500 points
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test with a total score that is equivalent to at least 500 GMAT points
Applicants who do not have German or EU/EEA citizenship or a German university entrance qualification (such as the Abitur) or are stateless must also provide proof of the result of a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) in which at least 162 points in the area of Quantitative Reasoning and at least 151 points in the area of Verbal Reasoning were achieved. The certificate obtained must not be older than five years. The cut-off date is the cut-off period of the degree programme.
For applicants who need to provide proof of a Graduate Record Examination (GRE), the GRE score in Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning is the only selection criterion
you must also provide proof of a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score of at least 162 points in the area of quantitative reasoning and at least 151 points in the area of verbal reasoning. The results must not be older than five years. The cut-off date is the definitive deadline for application for the program of study.
Applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree in informatics, Mathematics, or a related field to be admitted to the master’s program Mannheim master's in data science. The degree is considered equivalent if the program of study includes courses equivalent to at least 70 ECTS credits in informatics, mathematics, or statistics
