University of Stuttgart Stuttgart
Cultures of Knowledge at the University of Stuttgart is an interdisciplinary, four-semester M.A. run by three institutes: the Institute of Literatures, the Institute of History and the Institute of Philosophy. Teaching is in German. It looks at knowledge cultures of the past and present: how knowledge is justified, collected and ordered, passed on, updated and reinterpreted. With its focus on the knowledge society, the programme builds bridges between the humanities, the natural sciences and engineering, and between the university and the public. It suits you if you are interested in working across disciplines and want a great deal of independence in choosing your own area of research.
