Frequently asked questions
Only Master's programs at German universities. Each one is taught in English, in German, or in both. Bachelor's and PhD programs are not listed here.
Start with the field of study, then narrow by degree type (M.Sc., M.A., M.Eng., MBA, LL.M.), language of instruction, tuition, intake, application deadline, city or state. Open a program to check its admission requirements, language test minimums and deadlines before you apply through uni-assist or the university directly.
Use the language of instruction filter and choose English. The list and the result count update straight away, and the filter stays in the page address, so you can share or bookmark the result.
Many public universities use 15 July for the winter semester (October start) and 15 January for the summer semester (April start). Some programs set earlier deadlines. Use the application deadline filter to see programs closing soon, and always confirm the date on the program page.
For winter semester applications, decisions usually arrive between mid-August and mid-September. If you apply through uni-assist, it checks your documents before the university sees them, which can add several weeks. Apply as early as you can.
