Bielefeld University Bielefeld
Political Science at Bielefeld University is a four-semester Master of Arts worth 120 credit points, offered by the Faculty of Sociology. You can start in the winter or the summer semester, although the course plan is built around a winter start. The programme gives you a lot of freedom: you can study political science in its full breadth or choose a thematic profile. After a foundation module on concepts and methods of political and social science, you take seminars of your choice in (international) political theory, the public sphere, media and political communication, public policy, governance and regulation, or world politics. Teaching is closely tied to research, with a focus on theory and on current social questions and future challenges. You can add internships and stays abroad. It suits graduates who want to shape their own path through political science.
