Students decide for themselves, based on their interests, which of the three offered profiles they wish to specialize in. 1. The Chemical Biology profile --focuses on learning and applying innovative and preparative synthetic chemistry with the aim of understanding the molecular aspects of life processes, influencing them in a targeted manner and using them for chemical syntheses. 2. In the Structure and Function of Biological Macromolecules profile , --students use modern physical-chemical measurement techniques to gain a fundamental understanding of molecular mechanisms in biological processes. 3. The Cellular Biochemistry profile --examines cellular processes biochemically and cell biologically to understand their impact on the entire organism. The investigation of pathobiochemical issues has a close connection to basic medical research.
