The prerequisite for the degree programme is participation in an application process in which it is determined who is suitable for the degree programme and who is granted access. As part of this procedure, it is checked whether there is a first university degree qualified for the Master's programme. This is checked by means of the degree certificate and the associated documents (transcript of records, diploma supplement or similar). To what extent there are further admission requirements or the submission of further documents (language requirements, elaboration with statements on qualification, exposé, project drafts, etc.), please refer to the [current subject-specific regulations](https://ekvv.uni-bielefeld.de/sinfo/publ/master-as/stawi/pdf)[ of the degree program](https://www.uni-bielefeld.de/fakultaeten/wirtschaftswisse...). There are also regulations on how the individual criteria are evaluated and weighted.
A degree is therefore qualified for admission if subject-specific requirements in statistics are proven by achievements, i.e. at least two points are achieved and a total of 6 of the 10 points are achieved.
What to prepare for your application to Statistical Science
In addition to the documents required by the Registrar's Office, the following documents must be uploaded as pdf documents (see also: Subject-specific regulations (FsB), number 2):
1. (preliminary) transcript of records with a (provisional) final grade, i.e. a current proof of achievement (a (provisional) graduation document with a (preliminary) final grade and/or a current transcript of records or corresponding meaningful documents). Important: A (provisional) final grade must be shown! As an alternative to the Transcript of Records, you can also upload your summarized transcripts of records.
2. Module descriptions of the degree programme, i.e. a module handbook or comparable descriptions that provide information about the individual course of study, the modules completed or the subject-specific profile of the degree programme completed. If the document is too large to upload, you can also provide us with a link where we can access the documents.
If you already have one, please also submit the following documents as an option:
1. Diploma Supplement, which is usually handed out with the degree certificate. As an alternative to the Diploma Supplement, you can also upload a document that shows the course content (examination regulations, subject-specific regulations or module handbook).
2. Bachelor's degree certificate or the certificate of the degree programme that forms the admission requirement or degree certificate of the first university degree.
The documents submitted serve as a basis for assessing your suitability. In this case (in addition to a formal examination of your degree), there is an assessment of the qualifications acquired in the course of study
Knowledge of statistics and
Knowledge of mathematics.
Furthermore, your final grade will be taken into account in the assessment of your aptitude. For more information about the assessment, see "Notes on the assessment".
Hint: Any other knowledge and qualifications acquired outside the curriculum of the qualifying qualification may be taken into account for the awarding of points if this compensates for missing competencies within the meaning of the above criteria.
This programme applies directly or via uni-assist. Submit your documents through the correct channel before the deadline.
