1. You hold a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management from a recognized university (three years full-time or 180 ECTS minimum) with above-average results. (minimum requirement: ECTS mark C; if neither the national certificate of your first degree nor the diploma supplement provides the ECTS mark, please present a certification issued by the degree-awarding institution which confirms that the average mark/grade achieved corresponds to the ECTS mark of C or better, or to the German mark of 2.5 or better. Marks from non-EU applicants will be transferred into German grades by uni-assist.)
The degree must include at least 180 ECTS credits and ECTS grade C. If no ECTS grade is shown, your grade point average in the German grading system must not be worse than 2.5.

You have successfully completed your bachelor’s degree in the field of business administration, and you also speak English very well. You are proficient in German at a minimum of the A2 level and can provide verification of another foreign language at the B1 level.
If you wish to apply to our MA.IB program, you will need to meet the following criteria:
a) You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent in terms of content
The degree must include at least 180 ECTS credits and ECTS grade C. If no ECTS grade is shown, your grade point average in the German grading system must not be worse than 2.5.
b) You are fluent in English and have knowledge of German and another foreign language. Your language skills must be documented as follows:
1\. English:
If you have earned at least 30 ECTS credits in degree program classes (that were not language classes) that were taught and tested in English, we will recognize this as official proof of language proficiency. This regulation only applies to bachelor programs from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the USA. Applicants with a bachelor's degree from other countries must provide one of the three test results specified above, even if the degree program was taught and tested entirely in English.
2\. German: at least level A2 (B1). If your native language is German, your bachelor’s degree certificate or high school diploma will suffice as proof.
3\. Another language: at least level A2 (B1): If this language is your native language (not English or German), and your university entrance qualification or bachelor’s degree was taught in this language, you do not need to provide any additional proof. Otherwise, submit a certificate from a recognized language or educational institution verifying the B1 level for that language. You are welcome to use our university’s blank form for this purpose.
c) You have a priority for studying abroad
Please write a letter of motivation (in English) in which you describe your first, second, and third partner university priorities. This will demonstrate your willingness to spend part of your studies abroad.
d) Please attach an up-to-date CV to your application
You can apply to our degree program starting in mid-May. Applicants with a university degree from Germany or another EU country are to submit their application documents [using the portal of Mainz University of Applied Sciences](https://campusmanagement.hs-mainz.de/). If you obtained your university degree outside the EU, you must apply through [uni-assist](https://www.uni-assist.de/bewerben/online-bewerben/). The application deadline is June 15th.
What to prepare for your application to INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
Bachelor’s degree or Diplom that shows successful completion of a degree program in business administration or management, or a degree program with comparable content.
If applying with a degree already completed, the Diploma Supplement must be included.
Transcript of records (if not included in the Diploma Supplement).
The degree must include at least 180 ECTS credits and ECTS grade C. If no ECTS grade is shown, your grade point average in the German grading system must not be worse than 2.5.
Please select your priorities 1 (most prioritized) to 3 (third prioritized) from our partner universities in the application portal. If you are an applicant with a non-European bachelor’s degree (through Uni-Assist) indicate your priorities using this form and add it to your application.
Compose a letter of motivation in English describing your first, second, and third partner university priorities. This demonstrates your willingness to spend part of your studies abroad. Please indicate your priorities 1-3 in the portal.
The language requirements (English, German and one other language) must be clearly evidenced as mentioned above.

Language certificates proving level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference
Proof that at least 30 ECTS credits have been earned in subject-specific classes taught and examined in English (no language-only classes) in a European bachelor’s degree program.
2. German (at least A2 level)
Language certificates proving level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference. You are welcome to use our university’s Deutsch A2 blank form for this purpose.
For native speakers, a copy of your German higher education entrance qualification is sufficient.
3. Proof of a third language on level B1
If this language is your native language (not English or German), and your university entrance qualification or bachelor’s degree was taught in this language, you do not need to provide any additional proof.
Otherwise, submit a certificate from a recognized language or educational institution clearly verifying the B1 level for this language. You are welcome to use our university’s B1 level blank form for this purpose.
Chronological, signed curriculum vitae with no missing periods of time
Copy of the deposit slip for the fee paid to uni-assist
Residence permit (for applicants from non-EU member states)
Copy of identity card
Declaration of previous study periods at home and abroad (see under download)
Proof of German language skills
Certificate of exmatriculation for all degree programs in which you were previously enrolled. If you are still enrolled by the closing date for applications, you can submit them upon enrollment, but no later than 15 October for the winter semester and 30 March for the winter semester
