Program-specific aptitude
Your aptitude for the program will be evaluated through a two-step process conducted by the course lecturers. In the first step, you will submit a self-written project proposal in English for a potential design project, along with a digital portfolio containing 7 to 12 original work samples that demonstrate your artistic skills and suitability for the program. The portfolio can contain work samples from a professional context, a previously completed Bachelor's degree, the Bachelor's thesis, design awards, exhibition participations, results of self-employment and free work.
In the second step, you will participate in a 30-minute oral examination in English, where you will present your project proposal and portfolio and answer related questions.

What to prepare for your application to Textile Design (MA)
For the creative part, you have to submit
a self-written project proposal in English for a potential design project,
a digital portfolio containing 7 to 12 original work samples that demonstrate your artistic skills and suitability for the program.
If the creative part is passed with a grade of at least 2.5, you are admitted to the oral part. In this second part of the selection process, you will participate in a 30-minute oral examination in English, where you will present your project proposal and portfolio and answer related questions. The oral part usually takes place as a video call.

3.Copy of your ID or passport (Non-EU applicants).
4.Current CV.
5.Motivational letter (only required for specific programs - see application portal).
6.Preliminary review document (VPD) by uni-assist.
7.Applicants who gained their higher education entrance qualification in the following countries must submit their certificates to the academic evaluation center (APS) before applying at Hof University: China, India, Mongolia, or Vietnam. Please note that applicants from those countries cannot be admitted without the required APS certificate and must also submit the APS certificate when applying for a visa at a German embassy.
