How to apply
Due to the current situation language tests are still cancelled or postponed. To apply successfully for winter semester 2021 please submit with your application a proof of language GER C1 level. A recognised language certificate must then be submitted with enrolment the latest.

Professional experience is not an admission requirement. However, students with only 180 credit points at the end of their bachelor’s degree can make up the remaining 30 credit points by providing proof of six months of professional experience after their first degree.

Successful completion of a first academic degree which is comparable with the content of the Bachelor's degree program in International Business at HTW Berlin, as a rule with 210 credit points; very good knowledge of English
The International Business Master’s program follows on consecutively from the International Business Bachelor’s program.
Successful applicants for the Master’s program must
a) completion of an academic higher education degree and
b) completion of an initial academic degree in a Bachelor’s degree program in International Business or completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or a university diploma in a related business degree program (in accordance with § 3, section 1 (b) AO-Ma) and
c) submission of proof of completion of three of the following four modules of the Bachelor’s degree program International Business with comparable content:
\- Corporate/Business Finance (financing and investments),
\- Financial Accounting,
\- Business Mathematics/Statistics and
\- Economics (General Economics)
(in accordance with § 3, section 2 (a) AO-Ma).
Each applicant must have taken and passed three of these four required modules in their first degree program, as well as the following:
d) Proof of English language proficiency as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages by submitting the results of a
\- TOEFL test with at least 95 points for the internet-based test, or
\- an IELTS test (academic) with a level of at least 7.0, or
\- a PTE academic test with at least 76 points,
\- a comparable test, which attests to English language skills at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The language test must have been taken within the previous two years. Applicants who have completed their Bachelor’s degrees in an English-language degree programme in an OECD country are exempt from providing proof of English language proficiency.
The selection committee shall decide on the comparability with b), c) and d), above. The following applies to b): Applicants from a comparable degree program are deemed to have fulfilled this admission requirement in the event that at least 140 credit points correspond to the modules of the Bachelor’s degree program International Business at HTW Berlin.
