What you need to apply for Mathematics and Computer Science at Saarland University
Proof of advanced proficiency in English (GER: C1, TOEFL: 95/120, IELTS: 7.0/9.0)

You need a Bachelor in "Mathematics and Computer Science" or a related bachelor. If you have studied mathematics with minor computer science or computer science with minor mathematics, it depends on the content and scope of the minor. A preliminary admission can also be given under the condition that you have to pass certain missing lectures from the Bachelor-program. The final decision over the admission and potential extra requirements is done by the examination board.
Skills in Mathematics (Analysis, Linear Algebra, Numerics, Stochastics) and Computer Science (functional and object-oriented programming, algorithms and data structures, software development, theoretical computer science), which resemble the ones in the Bachelor-program "Mathematics and Computer Science".

GRE General Test / GATE test
Starting with applications for summer semester 2026: Applicants for Computer Science, Cybersecurity, DSAI, Embedded Systems and Visual Computing who have no degree certificate from the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) region, Switzerland, or the UK are required to upload the test result from the GRE General Test or the Indian GATE test. Other applicants may optionally include a test result. Please attach the test result to the end of your degree certificate document.
For applications until winter semester 2025/26: You may optionally attach the result from a GRE General Test to the end of your degree certificate document.
