Applicants for the Master's degree program in Computer Science must provide proof of sufficient subject knowledge in accordance with the aptitude assessment regulations. Accordingly, they must have

What to prepare for your application to Computer Science
To apply for the aptitude assessment, please submit all documents that are required both for the application itself (see point 01.) and for the aptitude assessment (see point 02.). These are
the documents listed on the application form (the application form is a pdf document which you must download and sign after entering all the information required for the application in the relevant application portal ),
a formal application for aptitude assessment for the Master's degree program in Computer Science (you must print out and sign this application after entering all the information required for the aptitude assessment in the aptitude assessment portal ),
Curriculum vitae, in particular describing your academic career to date,
informal letter of motivation, which provides evidence of your desire to study and your particular aptitude,
Copy of the first professionally qualifying university degree certificate or confirmation from the responsible office at your university that at least 80% of the credit points required for the university degree have been achieved (so-called 80% certificate1,
Copies of additional certificates and proof of special aptitude,
Module descriptions (or comparable content overviews) of the modules relevant to the Master's degree program in Computer Science (unless you have completed your degree in one of the Bachelor's degree programs at the Faculty of Computer Science of TU Dresden),
Proof of the required English language skills at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) based on the result of an internationally offered test. Proof is deemed to have been provided if:
a) the applicant's native language is English or
b) the “Test of English as a Foreign Language” (TOEFL) has been passed with at least 550/213/80 (written/computer-based/internet-based) points or
c) the IELTS test was passed with at least level 6.0 or
d) the UNIcert test was passed with at least level II.
Proof that the previous university degree was completed in English is not sufficient. We do not accept Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificates.
