The formal entry requirement is the general higher education entrance qualification or the relevant subject-related higher education entrance qualification. Access to the Sociology master's program requires a university degree with an overall grade of at least 2.5 or an equivalent domestic or foreign degree, in which modules of at least 30 ECTS points in the field of sociology must be proven.
Applicants who have less than 30 ECTS points in the field of sociology in their qualifying degree will be admitted to the degree program on the condition that the following modules must be completed by the end of the second semester at the latest:
hold a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. the field of sociology, social sciences, or humanities
be sufficiently conversant in the social sciences
possess adequate knowledge of social science statistics and research methods
proof of adequate English proficiency
