M.A. Political Economy of European Integration

Political Economy of European Integration at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin) is a three-semester, full-time Master of Arts worth 90 ECTS, taught in English and starting in the winter semester on 1 October. It looks at how the EU's integration process affects the protection of natural resources, the regulation of trade and finance, and work and social policy. The first semester covers the principles of economic, political and social integration through three dimensions: nature, sustainability and energy security; work, labour and social reproduction; and money and trade, plus European multilevel governance. The second semester brings a project seminar on current issues in European integration and electives such as Politics of Social Cohesion in Europe, or Labour and Ecology. The third is for your thesis and oral exam. It suits graduates aiming for international careers in government bodies, companies, unions or NGOs working on European policy.
