Language requirements

Applicants are required to attach an official language test report to their application.

Acceptable language tests and their minimum scores

If the applicant’s score does not fulfill the minimum requirements, the applicant is not eligible to apply and the application cannot be processed. IELTS, TOEFL and PTE results are valid for two years starting from the test date. The CAE and CPE results do not have an expiry date. If the TOEFL institution code is needed, please use Grenoble INP code: 6050.

Eligible candidates must have a bachelor‘s degree in Science, Technology or Engineering (Physics, Che-

mistry, Materials Science) or its equivalent, as well as an English language certificate.

English language test exemptions

Applicants who have completed a higher education degree:

• In an English language programme requiring a physical on-site presence at a university in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom or the United States. If the degree includes studies from another university, these must also be completed in English in such a country and university that exempts the applicant from the language test.
• At a university or polytechnic in an EU/EEA country in English. The language of the degree must be stated in the degree certificate or its appendix, the transcript of records or other official document, such as diploma supplement, issued by the higher education institution in question.
• At one of the EIT-AMIS consortium universities.
