A first academic degree (such as a bachelor’s, Magister, Diplom, Staatsexamen) from a university in Germany or abroad based on at least three years of study corresponding to at least 180 credit points (CP) in a subject relevant to the Master of Arts program in European Studies, or a relevant combination of subjects from the humanities and social sciences, law and economics, and proof that the applicant graduated in the top third of graduates.
Proof of at least 15 credit points (CP) in statistics or social science methods. Applicants are permitted to take part in the selection procedure if they are missing up to a total of 5 credit points. If admitted, the admissions committee will decide on the type and scope of any courses to be made up, and the deadline by which they must be completed.

Europa-Universität Flensburg has a two-step application process:
Fill out the form in our online application portal.
Send in all necessary application documents.
First, open the form in the online application portal. Enter all required personal information for your specific degree program. When you finish, print out the completed form. The printout has the following information: your personal application number, more details about the application procedure, and your login username and password for the application portal. It also includes a link to the application instructions for your degree program and a list of the required application documents for your chosen degree program. You're required to mail paper copies of your application form and documents to the EUF admissions office; the address is pre-printed on the application form.
Important: The application deadline refers to the date of receipt by EUF. In other words, the university must receive your application and required documents by the deadline. Neither the postmark date nor the date when you completed the online application are relevant.
As a next step, the university will review your application documents. You can check for yourself in the application portal whether your application is complete. If a document is missing, the admissions office will inform you by email that your application status has changed. Any missing documents listed in the application portal must be submitted by the application deadline. Late submissions will NOT be accepted.
The following documents must be submitted:
1. Application form completely filled in and duly signed (once via email with a JPEG passport picture and the original via postal mail duly signed)
2. Certified/notarized copies* of the original certificate and of the translation made by an officially recognized translator into German or English language of the final degree certificate of your studies (undergraduate degree)
3. Certified/notarized copies* of the original certificates and of the translations made by an officially recognized translator into German or English language of the transcripts or other academic records that give proof of your undergraduate studies, including credits and grades achieved in each single subject
4. Certified/notarized copy* of the original certificate and of the translation made by an officially recognized translator into German or English language of your high-school graduation certificate
5. Proof of English proficiency. You may send a copy of the English language certificate with this application but the TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS test must be sent to us directly from the test centre (TOEFL: institutional code 8512, department code 80 Other Social Sciences).
6. Curriculum Vitae showing complete education from start of primary school until today including professional experience, voluntary social and/or political activities etc
7. Motivation letter (1-1.5 pages)
