What you need to apply for International Economics and Economic Policy at Goethe University Frankfurt
1. language of instruction are required to submit scores of TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System) tests. We do not accept Cambridge ESOL or other certificates to prove English proficiency. Knowledge of German is not required for admission to or for the completion of the program as it is exclusively taught in English.
2. The institution code for the TOEFL test is 5349. The minimum TOEFL score is 100 for the iBT or 600 for the PBT. An IELTS score of 7.0 is considered comparable. The test score has to be submitted at the time of application.

This provisional certificate must be issued by an office authorized to award grades or issue certificates. In this case, the admission is provisional and the final bachelor’s certificate has to be submitted until the end of the first semester.

1\. Bachelor’s degree in economics or an equivalent national or international degree in the same or a similar programme;
2\. Letter of motivation in English Language (up to 750 words)
3\. English language skills proven by:
a TOEFL/iBT test with a minimum of 100 points
or a TOEFL/PBT test with a minimum of 600 points
or an IELTS test with a minimum score of 7,0
English language skills (level C1) proven by:
\- TOEFL (at least 95 iBT ) or
\- IELTS Academic Test (band score of at least 7) or
\- UNIcert (at least level 3) or
\- Cambridge Certificate (General/ higher education; at least C1)
If you have completed your undergraduate studies in a majority English speaking country (e.g. USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand) and if your Bachelor degree program’s sole language of instruction was English, you are exempted from submitting a language certificate.
