What you need to apply for Health Sciences at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (FH Hamburg)
Proof of advanced knowledge of English, as demonstrated by one of the following:
University of applied sciences entrance qualification with the grade of at least 'good' in the advanced course (at least 11 points in the final year of school) or the general higher education entrance qualification with the grade of at least 'good' in the advanced course (at least 11 points in the final year of school)
A certificate proving that the applicant has passed an internationally recognised English language test (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, TOEIC, BEC, Linguaskill General, PTE, telc English) (see Zugangs- und Auswahlordnung, point 2)
A certificate of accomplishments achieved abroad which are equivalent to the accomplishments stated under letters
Lectures are held in English. The research semester (third semester) will be undertaken in Germany and therefore requires good German skills. The Master's thesis can be written in English or German.

Lectures are held in English (only in exceptional cases in German). The research semester (third semester) will be undertaken in Germany and therefore requires very good German skills. The Master's thesis will be written in English. In exceptional cases, it can be written in German.

What to prepare for your application to Health Sciences
Application Documents
A first university degree in the field of health sciences providing a qualification for professional practice with at least 180 ECTS or an equivalent university degree is required.
Diploma Supplement/Transcript of Records.
Proof of special knowledge of the English language Level C1 (see language requirements).
For students without a German university entrance qualification, proof of sufficient knowledge of the German language Level B1.

If you completed your school education outside of Germany, you must send officially certified copies of your certificates to be reviewed by uni-assist BEFORE you can apply online to the HAW Hamburg. You will get a certificate - Vorprüfungsdokumentation (VPD) - from uni-assist that you must include with your application to the HAW Hamburg. Please apply early, as the VPD process can take 4-6 weeks.
Other documents increase your chances in the selection process:
Proof of additional qualifications, such as voluntary work in charitable organizations in the rescue services, care facilities, hospitals, hospices or certificates in the field of public health
